• Could never open the program.

  I'm sure it works as advertised......

  Cons

  The program crashes every time I try to open it. It installed fine, but I just can't get it to open. I'm running Vista 64 bit. I tried running it in every compatability mode I could think of, but nothing would work. Doh.

  Summary

  If it works for you, great. But people running Vista 64 may have issues.

  Pros

  I'm a big amateur of nice pictures of all kind (photograph). I was not sure about the need of such software as I'm using Vista and also there are many softwares alike around the net BUT : <p>1) I must admit, this one is really different as in fact it also grab pictures from galleries automatically and then allows you to use them as wallpapers (or not). <p>2) The import function from Internet through channels is working well and is multithreaded. <p>It is working as a charm and the interface is very clear. <p>3) This tool is really an all-in-one wallpaper application with the extra-ability to grab directly from URL, Webcam, FTP and some predefined channels from within WallPerformer itself. <p>4) Price is ok as it gives access to potentially unlimited number of wallpapers.

  Cons

  I agree with arthuro98 : speed could be improved and also there should be more servers available. In the other hand, users can share their own galleries so this should not be a problem. <p>Also, it would have been good to have a hosting service with the product for the people to host their gallery directly with the application (hey guys, here is an idea for you :-)

• A very good surprise

  Pros

  I was very surprised and pleased by this software for many reasons : <p>- first thing is the very easy to use interface : once understood their concept of channels, it is very intuitive and I really appreciate the boss-key feature. Hide or show the application or reset the desktop properties with only one keyboard shortcut is really good (especially if there are many people around your screen;-). <p>- I had been able to retrieve pictures from website where I normally had to deal with popups, redirection and boring messages. With this application, I just had to specify the url and it deal with it for you. Real time-saving. <p>- The idea of importing images from "channels" is interesting as you can find galleries of image by just typing a partial word (it then show all galleries which name contain these caracters and you can then download the images automatically).

  Cons

  - I didn't like the speed of download (but ok the pictures were of high resolution). I suppose this will be improved. <p>- The metaphore of channel (instead of galleries) is confusing the very first time (it would have been easier to say galleries of images instead of channels of images). <p>- It doesn't some manage protected galleries (but it is not so bad as many of the protected galleries are full of ads)
