Wake up the screen upon shaking.

Wake Up Screen is a fun, handy and useful tool app. It allows you to wake up the screen upon shaking the tablet or phone and saves the power and other buttons that you use to turn on the device. It works great during cold weather when you have your gloves on or when you don't have your glasses on and can't easily find the power button.To activate Wake Up Screen, select shake sensitivity and tap the activate button which will pin the app to the notification status bar (notification can be disabled in settings). This will cause a notification sound and close the main app indicating that service is now active. To get back to the main app, tap the wake up icon in the status bar.

HELPFUL GUIDE: Tap Settings button to disable/change Notifications or to set customized shake profile settings. ALWAYS deactivate then activate service to apply changes. Tap service LED indicator button for info on adding on/off button widget to HOME screen. To activate service, select shake profile and tap Activate button which will pin the service to the notification status bar and cause a notification sound indicating service is active. To get back to the main app, tap the wake up icon in the status bar. If activated, Wake Up Screen service will remain active even after rebooting tablet or phone. To deactivate service run the app again and tap deactivate button or use the widget button. Tap Help button for full instructions.

SMART APP FEATURE: If the screen wakes up and no user activity detected, the screen goes back to sleep after few seconds! You can easily change sensitivity profiles: wake up the screen as you pick up the device (High Sensitivity) or after few to many shakes (Less Sensitivity). Service indicator LED and on/off widget button.

Had to uninstall it because it disabled other features

It seemed to work for the short period I had it installed
Cons
It was hard to find a setting that was effective. The lowest setting caused the screen to activate at the slightest motion, essentially causing the screen to remain on practically all day, but the next setting up required a fairly vigorous shaking to get the phone to come on, which in my opinion somewhat defeats the purpose. The even bigger problem was that the software caused my Droid 4's keyboard light to deactivate. I had to uninstall the program and reboot my phone to restore that function. Another annoyance was that when I attempted to write a review on Google Play, the site would not let me do so because I had uninstalled the app. Assuming others have had similar experiences and, like me, weren't willing to reinstall the software simply to be able to post a review, the reviews on Google Play quite possibly give a more favorable impression of the app than is accurate.
Summary
This app might be acceptable for a phone other than a Droid 4, but I would not recommend it for that particular phone (and possibly not for other physical querty keyboard models).

A very popular & highly rated app.
Cons
This app was my #1 power hog (71%) cutting my Bionic battery to several hours. This compares to other critical app, such as Android OS (11), Phone Idle (8%), Call Standby (6%).. Food for thought.
