Wake Me Up - Wake-on-LAN is a free utility app designed for iPhone users, enabling the remote activation of computers via Wake-on-LAN technology. This application allows users to power on both PCs and Macs by sending a specific network request. With its straightforward interface, users can initiate the wake-up process by simply tapping a prominent button within the app. The inclusion of a 'Today' widget provides additional convenience, allowing users to wake their devices directly from the home screen without opening the app itself. Furthermore, integration with Siri enhances usability, as users can set up voice commands to execute the wake-up function quickly.

For optimal performance, users must ensure that their computers are configured to support Wake-on-LAN, specifically using the MAC address of the Ethernet card, as opposed to the Wi-Fi card. This utility serves as a practical solution for individuals needing to access their computers remotely, offering multiple methods for activation that cater to varying user preferences.

Developer’s Description

Wake your computer up.

Wake Me Up allows you to start a computer (PC or Mac) remotely, by sending a special Wake-on-LAN network request.

You can start your computer in several ways:

- By pressing the big button inside the app.

- By using the "Today" widget available on the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.

- By asking Siri directly from your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

The Siri shortcut requires iOS 12 and you must record the phrase you want to use with Siri beforehand (inside the app or the settings of the iPhone or iPad).

Wake-on-LAN is a network protocol supported by the majority of Ethernet cards on the market. Be sure to set up your computer to enable Wake-on-LAN support, and use the MAC address of your Ethernet card and not the MAC address of your Wi-Fi card.
