Competent VPN Connection Manager

It is possible to manage you VPN connections from the interface, including which programs are monitered and restarted in the event of a disconnection. Here is how I set up VPN Lifeguard. In the Config. dialogue I set Autorun to 'Run with Windows startup', but I untick 'Run on startup'. This means that I get the interface on my desktop when Windows boots, without a VPN connection being made. I open a VPN connection in the usual way and click 'List IP'. The IP of the VPN server is shown in the box labelled 'Local IP of VPN' and the host name of the VPN is listed in the interface. Then you can stop and start the VPN connection selected in the list. Don't forget to enter the default gateway of the router in the box labelled 'IP of the box'. This is usually 192.168.1.1. The main advantage VPN Lifeguard has over VPN Check and VPN Netmon is that it does not require the .NET framework to be installed, as well as being free. A maximum of six programs are supported.
Cons
I would like it to start minimized in the system tray with Windows startup, but without starting a VPN connection.
Summary
