Reduce Virtual Machine size and boost Windows performance.
vOptimizer is an advanced optimization solution that quickly and easily reduces a Microsoft or VMware virtual machines virtual hard drive to the smallest possible size while optimizing the Windows guest operating system to boost performance. vOptimizer FreeWare and Desktop Editions enable local VM optimization while Network Edition enables entire repositories of VMs located anywhere on the network to be optimized via scheduled automated jobs.
I found out you need to install .NET 2.0 for it work.

Pros
I'm a pretty big fan of virtualization, so I was interested in the vOptimizer product when I first heard about it. Its an application that deletes un-necessary files, defragments your virtual hard-drive and makes other improvements to help reduce the size and increase the speed of your virtual OS. I downloaded the freeware version to see if this technology really worked. I was able to cut down my 6GB XP+Weblogic VPC image to around 1.8 GB. I'm optimizing a few other VPC images now to see if I can get the same gains again. Overall a very nice and easy-to-use product, that makes backing up, moving around and sharing virtual machines very easy.
Cons
The freeware version appears to only allow access to local drives but I believe there is a network commercial version that I will try.
