Extract audio tracks out of video files downloaded from YouTube.
VMLoad allows you to download audio tracks of a video from following sites: YouTube, MySpace, MyVideo, Clipfish, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Vimeo & Sevenload! The freeware extracts the music from the selected video and saves it as mp3 file on your hard drive. Here's how: Copy URL of the videos, paste them into VMLoad and click on "Start Download". Within seconds, the audio track is downloaded and converted. Alternatively, you can use our browser addons. Click right next to the video on the VMLoad logo and the URL is copied into VMLoad. VMLoad attempts to detect music information (ID3 tag) by automatic title search. Over 4,000,000 songs are saved in our database.
Simple, easy, no frills interface. Able to convert multiple videos.
Cons
No way to check for updates. Hitting the X button minimizes the window to the tray instead of shutting down the program. Has to be closed from the taskbar tray. No longer works like it used to.
Summary
I downloaded this a while ago and it worked wonderfully and was easy to handle. However, recently, it has stopped behaving like it normally would for me. Whenever I tried to add a link, it would pop up a window of a list of videos and take FOREVER to load that list. It would have been nice to add a feature that would let us search for updates. This would have been a great program if it hadn't stopped working like it did.
