This media jukebox stands out in a crowded field. Its handy and attractive interface allows you to choose backgrounds, change the transparency of panels, and even tune the resolution of buttons. You can use music visualizations as backgrounds. Most operations take no more than one click. The tray icon lets you access basic controls without opening the main window. Virtuosa supports most music and video formats using plug-ins. To smooth transitions between tracks, you can cross-fade separately for playing, seeking, and stopping. The program offers several tools for organizing your music collection. You can view playlists with more or less detail, as a simple list, or in a tree. You can even display an icon for each song. The program gives you full control over naming ripped tracks and arranging them in folders. Virtuosa quickly extracts audio from CDs to MP3, WAV, or WMA files and converts sound among formats, though advanced users may find its conversion settings insufficient. Music aficionados will nonetheless find a lot to love here.

Nothing that I found, since I could not get it to work.

It is buggy and confusing. I wanted to rip the sound from a DVD to an MP3. tried to follow the instructions from ripping with track conversion, as described on page 3 of the "Getting Started" document. I right clicked as instructed, expecting to be offered a choice of formats. Instead, it asked for an output directory and was ready to begin ripping. I specified an output directory and told it to start. I was surprised to find there was nothing in the output directory, but it turned out it had put the output in the default directory instead of the one I specified. Why ask me for a directory if you're not going to use it. The "Getting Started" document had a picture of the format conversion dialog, but did not tell me how to get to it. I tried the help, but the index took me to page that must have been 1000 lines long, and there was no way to search within the page except y manually reading all of it. Next I discovered "Convert" on the "File" menu (not mentioned in the "Getting Started"), and was able to set the output format I wanted, at which point it finally informed me that it cannot do what I want. At that point, I uninstalled it, so I don't know what the rest is like. At the very least the documentation is atrocious and somtimes wrong.

I like this product because I can burn more than 100 mp3 files to a cd, and play it on my car stereo, also I love it because it said 30 days trial, just change the month everytime that your trial ends!

Trial period is bad, but is ok just change the month when it ends to the month when you install it! :-)

This is my first and only download of this *cough cough* software. The ENORMOUS GAP between the web-based instruction, what the readme says, and what the software actually looks as, operates as and/or is available to do -- a GAP SO VAST that it's an excellent illustration of OBSCENITY! It doesn't burn, it doesn't rip, it doesn't work in this trial mode, IN STARK CONTRAST TO THE STATEMENTS ON THE WEBSITE AND IN THE README FILE.

Summary
I have used Virtuosa to put my entire music collection on my computer. I use it to rip, burn, organize, and play all my media files. It's music database feature is awesome. The intuitive design has alowed me to effectively organize my music by artist and album (don't worry - there are plenty of other ways, artist/ album is just my favorite).

I downloaded this program and bought it for my g/f and it turned out to be really cool. It rips cds, converts files, and burns cds...and it makes it look super fansy! it's really colorful and fun and the visualizations are cool. She really likes it and I really like what it can do. I've seen a maybe one better product but this one is worth getting because it just looks so much cooler and it does the same thing...I am just picky about the organization of my music library.
