...program
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've used Virtual Time Clock Pro for over 8 years. I've never regretted getting it. It does exactly what is advertised and does it very well. The few times that I have had a problem, I get on the phone with Keith and he walks me through it. Usually it's a network problem on our end but he helps me out anyway. Redcort is one of the best software companies I've dealt with. I heartily recommend the program.
Excellent software - Worth every penny.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used various version of VTC for over 5 years. Excellent product with a great feature set. Regular updates squash bugs (they tend to be rare) and add new or tweak existing features. Support (mostly e-mail for me) has been excellent. The couple of times I needed it I received a quick and informative reply.
I use a single server - 3 client setup in a 20 employee business. Total cost $445. Money well spent in time saved running reports and tallying time sheets.
Only negative - a sometime quirky user interface. The time clock interface itself works fine, the management side takes a bit of getting used to. Would be great to select edits directly in reports. Maybe next version.
Thanks Redcort
Excellent product!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I work at a medium-sized University. Our payroll department requires that student worker time sheets are hand written. Until VTC, this process took me 2-3 hours every two weeks. Now with VTC I have cut the process to about 1 hour. VTC prints a time sheet, but since our payroll department was unwilling to work with VTC's native format, I export the data to FileMaker and use FileMaker and VTC data to print a time sheet that is virtually indisitinguishable from the ones provided by the payroll department.
The program's cross-platform, client-server architecture in version 5 means no more shared volumes, something for which I gladly paid the upgrade price. The company is responsive to bug reports and is willing to offer suggestions on how to integrate VTC within a rigid environment such as ours. VTC represents a solid value.
