Vakpaspoort Nieuw for Android

Vakpaspoort Nieuw, developed by Centraal Register Techniek, is a digital craftsmanship passport for Dutch technical and installation professionals. The app stores and presents professional qualifications, diplomas, and safety credentials, enabling verified proof of competence. It supports automatic synchronization from accredited Dutch training institutes and a refreshed interface for credential sharing. The tool targets installers, mechanics, and employers who require a single, portable record for regulatory and on-site verification.

Serves as the sector’s official credentialing backbone

The app replaces the original Vakpaspoort and connects users to a central technical craftsmanship register maintained by the developer. That official linkage positions it as the recognized channel for demonstrating compliance with Dutch safety rules, including obligations under the Gas Combustion Installations Act. Supported by major industry associations and labor unions, the platform functions as the industry-aligned source of record rather than an informal résumé holder.

Built to verify employment and authorised tasks on-site

The app manages "Work Relationships" so employers can confirm who is authorised to perform specific technical tasks, reducing reliance on paper documents at job sites. It issues scannable credentials for quick checks and lets clients and supervisors view verified qualifications without manual photocopies. For contractors and site managers this replaces transporting multiple physical certificates and speeds identity-dependent task assignments.

Identity checks and data sources shape onboarding

Onboarding requires a one-time identity verification via iDIN or, if unavailable, manual helpdesk support; this anchors trust in shared credentials. The app links with the DUO diploma register for manual diploma uploads when issuing bodies do not push certificates. Initial setup needs a secure internet connection for synchronization, and early adopters experienced technical adjustments during the transition to the new release.

Cross-platform availability and certification tracking for teams

The app is distributed for Android and iOS devices, enabling technicians and employers to access the same register across mobile platforms. It provides real-time tracking of mandatory legal certifications such as CO-certification, so compliance status is visible to workplaces that require it. The underlying foundation was created by industry organisations to maintain a reliable digital register for the sector.

Best suited to Dutch technicians who must centralize verified credentials

Vakpaspoort Nieuw is a pragmatic option for installers and technical professionals who need an industry-recognized record of qualifications; it asks for a short identity step during setup that some workers may find inconvenient. For teams migrating from the older app, log in with the same primary email to transfer registrations and identification data, preserving continuity for ongoing compliance and employer verification workflows.
