Used TXTcrypt for iOS?
Editors’ Review
TXTcrypt feels like something straight out of a 60s spy movie -- an encryption app that allows you to send secret messages to a friend who has the right password. It works well at what it does, and while the password, itself, still needs to be provided to the friend you share your messages with, it's a very effective way to keep messages private from snooping siblings, colleagues, or loved ones.
The concept of the app is relatively straightforward. You enter in a message of your choosing and then hit the "encrypt" button. You must set a password, as well, to protect the text and unlock it. The resulting string of text and numbers is incomprehensible until you or someone you send the text to enters it into the same app with the password and decrypts. It works quickly, albeit with limited features for customizing the output or sharing options. Still, the basic tools are in place and they all work as advertised, allowing you to share secret messages with just about anyone who also has this app on their iPhone or iPad.
If you want to share secret messages with friends or family members and have an iOS device and a password you can share with them that won't get lost or shared with the wrong people, then TXTcrypt works exactly as intended. It's quick, easy, and effective at protecting messages against unauthorized snooping.
