  Pros

  The intonation is good. Despite the fact that you can't customize the voices, there are 8 male and 2 female voices.

  Cons

  It has trouble with common bad words like d-u-m-b-a-s-s (which says as dumb uss). On Microsoft Agent, it tries to ignore accentuated letters!

  This program is great, I use it to keep track of all my channels while I surf the net. Voices could be better, but it's free so who cares.

  For you newbies: This is not a program with a user interface. It is a component that is used to convert text to speach using likely a Miscosoft Agent. Consider it like a driver. Once installed you should have to do nothing to configure it. Your computer call the program as needed. The voice output is a bit robotic but works well.

  You must use another application to best utilize this speech engine. The best is Talking Box, available on this site. Follow the instructions at the Talking Box site to take advantage of this excellent speech engine. You can train it to pronounce words properly with ease and control speed and pitch. This engine together with the free Talking Box program is better than Text-to-Speech programs that cost a thousand dollars. Trust me!

  Ok, first off, this program blows. I really don't know the stability and performance cause i can't even find the installed components!!!! I installed it.. and it doesn't say anything or where it installed the files so i can run the program, i've been searching for 30 min straight. and i can't find it! Don't think i'm a newbie to computers cause this has never happened before.
