If you have Windows XP and the Trident Blade3D video card, I strongly recommend this driver. With the native XP driver, I wasn't able to get video in my Windows Media Player unless I changed the Windows' "Hardware acceleration" setting in "Right click on desktop --> Properties --> Settings --> Advanced --> Troubleshooting" from "Full" down to the third mark on the scale. After installing this driver, I not only get video in Windows Media Player when "Hardware acceleration" is at "Full", but I also get extremely sharp and clear graphics in all Windows aspects. Try it, you'll love it!

I'd forgotten about this problem as I don't use that computer anymore but from memory I think the details below eventually provided a work-around rather than a fix for the problem. It might not have been necessary for so many reboots, but working mostly with NT, it becomes a habit. I downloaded the file Mvp4.zip from FIC's site and tried to use it on Windows 2000. From what I remember, when you choose the inf file in the Win2k folder, it doesn't display an adapter. Try this: 1. Delete the VGA adapter from Device Manager. 2. Reboot and install the drivers for NT4 - Don't worry about the warning. 3. Reboot and set-up the display properties as required. 4. Reboot. 5. Update the display driver, but this time choose the inf file in the Win2k folder - Again don't worry about the warning. 6. Reboot and set-up the display properties as required. It worked for me.
