  I consider myself cursed by having cut my FPS-teeth on Tribes. Reason being every time I've tried another FPS, I end up feeling grounded (pun intended). The Jet Pack, the deployables, the Grappler (think spiderman), the huge environments--all things which make Tribes rock. I don't know how many times playing UT200* I've tried to jet-pack my way above for a massive grenade drop. This new Tribes is easily the best (yeah, T2 was a stinker). The gameplay is amazing (single-player was even fun) and teamplay, as always, plays a huge role. I'm more of a defensive/engineer type, but found myself capping a few flags in the new game. I love it. p.s. I am a total Mac convert, and the release of this game (PC only) has been the only thing to make me wince about not having a new Windows machine(okay-I said it). Aspyr, MacSoft, pretty please--port this game for the mac!?!?

  the ability to assume multiple roles and choose how much or little you participate is awesome. For instance if you want to be a sniper you just find a good hiding spot and wait for your shot or you can be a flag capper and be in the thick of it at all times or be an engineer and play defense.

  the only good aspect to this game is the jetpacks I have played all other tribes games and loved them all but this game should not even be called a new game from what it shows. that being said the game has great potential and could be an awsome game if they put the time and money into it.

  Unreal Tournament is better in my opinion. This game hasn't improved much over the original Tribes. The game isn't as action packed as you would think it is.
