• Absolute garbage

  Firewall blocks everything

  I work in IT and I just had the displeasure of doing a cleanup on a computer with this software. First of all the firewall blocked my cleanup utilities on my usb drive. When it does so, it doesn't give you the option of blocking it or unblocking it. It just blocks it without giving you any options or flexibility. So you might ask "why don't you just disable it?" Why? Because you can't without a password that is created by the person who set it up. You used to be able to change the password in the config files or stop the service alltogether but they seem to have made an update that doesn't allow you to do so. You also need this password to uninstall the product. Trying to do the simple task of running a cleanup utility on this particular machine turned into a 2 hour ordeal thanks to this software. Don't buy in an enterprise environment. Will be a nightmare.

  Not as heavy as Norton and some of the other leaders. Just install and forget it - you get access to a web portal to view all your computers' logs and alerts; even automatic email alerts. <p> <p>Ideally suited for SMBs

  Interface a bit "plain" but all the settings are managed centrally anyway so not much of an issue.

  OfficeScan is the lightest antivirus client I have found. Once it's installed, you can logon to their Security Center and track your computers from a web application. I have a small business and this was just what I was looking for <p> <p>I have not seen this solution elsewhere - VERY cool

  I like Trend Micro products.. Never slow down your computer, remove all virus/spyware & worms, regular updates. I think that this managed service is a great and good solution for all. I recommend OfficeScan (Try it!)

  The best thing about the product is its light load on the system. Since an antivirus is always running, I hate them to be heavy and gobbling up precious RAM. The scanning is good, plus you get an antispyware feature. The updates are regular and it detects a fair number of viruses.

  Cons

  I've had some trouble removing all traces of some worms but that's ok I guess. The interface is also a little plain. And if you're not buying a multiple license for your organisation, you may be better off running a cheaper solution for a single PC.
