Kabam's Transformers: Forged to Fight for iPhone follows in a long line of Transformers-themed games, including Transformers: Legends, Transformers: Battle Tactics, Transformers: Earth Wars, and Angry Birds: Transformers. These are all based on the early '80s Hasbro toy line, then Marvel's comic series, then animated TV shows, and most recently, five blockbuster films centered on the ongoing civil war between two factions of self- actualizing and configuring, modular robots: the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime and the evil Decepticons led by Megatron.

Pros

Great storyline: In Transformers: Forged to Fight, Optimus Prime announces that with the help of the humans from Planet Earth and their loyal ally, Marissa Fairborne, they are bringing life back to their native planet, Cybertron. But on their long journey home, they crash on an unknown planet. Even worse, their arch-enemies, the Decepticons, are coming for them. Playing as the Autobots, you must improve your combat skills, recruit an army of bots, and upgrade your bots' power by undertaking missions and winning experience points and precious metals and gems. You can also grow currency at your base to take on missions and upgrade characters. Assign bots to your base to defend your resources or to go out on missions and collect resources.

Amazing 1-on-1 fights: Select your bot carefully, as each one has unique superpowers that can offer an advantage, and battle your enemy in a 1-on-1 battle in a spectacular 360-degree arena till you or your enemy's health is compromised. If you're fighting a sequence of bots, then move on to the next one. Afterward, you'll see a leaderboard, showcasing your successful hits, hits received, and highest chain of successful hits. You'll also see how far along you are in completing your missions.

Great graphics: The beautiful comic-book style renderings come to life during visually arresting action sequences.

Easy gameplay: The game's combat moves are easy to learn. Tap right for a light attack or a ranged attack and swipe right for a medium one or to dash at your opponent. To block, hold left, and to dodge, swipe left. You can also sidestep your opponent by swiping up or down. When the glowing Special Attack button appears, make sure to tap it and sit back while your bot crushes your opponent.

Ads are not intrusive: Ads are displayed at the bottom of your screen, but they are easily ignored.

Network connection required: A Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required to play Transformers: Forged to Fight.
