  It only worked for about a month.

  Cons

  It's useful for a month or two. Then does not work. Not sure if they want money or what, but we didn't have time for that - so went to a different (and better) program.

• Destructive Photo rotation viewer

  Pros

  Great program for accessing your files remotely and easy to use.

  Cons

  Has a Destructive photo viewer. Using the built in photo viewer if you tell it to rotate picture it overwrites the picture and destroys the quality and meta tag info. A huge no no. Support told me they aren't planning to fix and would look into adding option to turn off picture rotation if paid for filecloud product.

  Summary

  Great product but major flaw that rules out use to view pictures remotely in fear rotating picture by mistake and having to restore the image from a backup.

• Software is broken, Support lies, Reneged on refund

  Pros

  There is only one thing in Tonido that actually works - the part where they bill your credit card.

  Cons

  Software doesn't work, support admits their software doesn't work, offers a refund, never delivers it, and simply ignores you.

  Summary

  Will not work at all for large files. The software is old, buggy, can't upload a large file. After complaining to support, they promised me a refund which after several (ignored) emails, they have yet to provide. This company is a complete fraud.

• Does what it says!

  Pros

  Fast and easy to use. The public share feature is great! If the net connection is slow or the photos are large (2mb+), the slideshow feature is really slow. Ability to log in from any computer around the world is pretty neat!

  Cons

  Streaming video for handhelds could be added. For "slower" internet connections, the slideshow feature takes some time to load. On "recent files," the access date and time could be helpful. A little more compatibility with Google Chrome (some of the scrolling features are a little wonky when pulling up windows). Ability to share past the "root" directory (i.e., computerroot/d:/files/shared). Then again, maybe some of these are available on the pro or biz version :) the reality is, I can't complain, as these "cons" are all just nitpicky.

  Summary

  In all, it does what it says it does and then some. I'm completely satisfied with my open source freeware, but when asked for "cons," it's easy to criticize. I think this program is awesome!

  Cons need a open source HTML 5 for video playing built into the jukebox part of the Server. And more Add on Apps

  Pros

  One click share in Tonido webshare is great. I can create URL for my files. No more uploading files.. Webshare is great to share files with friends. I can listen to my music from anywhere via jukebox .. Soon, Jukebox might replace Pandora

  Apps like Money and workspace need polishing.

• Best, easy to use file server

  Pros

  I really like the idea of right clicking any folder or file to create a URL for that file folder to send to friends. It is quite easy to share files that way. Also i use the jukebox application to stream my home music collection to my work PC.

  Cons

  Don't think of any. Video streaming application will be great :)

  Summary

  Saying Tonido as a simple file server is an understatement. It also comes up with a set of applications to stream music, download torrents and backup your computer. Overall very nice package.
