Tip N Split Tip Calculator automatically calculates tips and how much everyone in your party owes on the bill.
Pros
Tip and split calculator: Enter the amount of your bill, the percent you want to tip, and the number of people in your party, and the app automatically calculates tip and how much each person owes. Using minus and plus buttons, you adjust an amount by whole numbers or, by tapping the number, bring up a numeric keypad to enter an exact figure. The default tip percent is 15, but you can change that in the Settings menu. A paid version calculates tip pre-tax.
Hit up your friends: After you've calculated the amount everyone owes, tap the share button at the top of the app to send a message to each person with their amount owed.
Tip guidance: In addition to calculating a tip, the app offers detailed advice on how much to tip -- or not tip -- in 13 countries. The app offers guidance on tipping in restaurants, hotels, taxis, and more.
Cons
Manual process: After the app finishes its calculations, you need to take over to manually collect the debt. If you'd rather keep the transaction digital, apps such as Venmo can help collect. For more, see our guide on splitting bills with friends.

Tip N Split Tip Calculator does a nice job of calculating tips and splitting up a bill if dining with friends. While the app deftly handles all the calculations, you will need to collar your dining partners to get them to pay up.
