2015 Therio Conference - San Antonio, TXEach year the Society for Theriogenology and the American College of Theriogenologists meet at the annual Therio Conference for cutting-edge CE sessions, abstract presentations, seminars, symposia and networking opportunities in addition to fun events. Created to provide CE opportunities for veterinarians interested in the specialty of animal reproduction, courses include small animal, production animal and equine tracks. Keynote speakers engage attendees with informational presentations, and educational seminars and symposia are presented each year on topics ranging from small animals, to camelids to bulls. The abstract competition is always a favorite, and student case presentations and an educators forum round out the offerings. Always held late in the summer in a city with numerous attractions, the conference moves to a different location throughout the United States each year. Conference registration includes breakfast, lunch and all breaks. Optional events are held in the evening, such as the Annual Awards Dinner which continues to be a sellout. The exhibit hall kicks off the conference with an opening reception, and gives attendees the opportunity to visit with specialized vendors. The Silent and Live Auctions, benefitting the Theriogenology Foundation, offer great items at bargain prices. Student attendance is encouraged and there is friendly competition between veterinary programs from SFT Student Chapters with events like the Student Quiz Bowl, where points are earned towards the Student Chapter of the Year award.The winning chapter receives cash!The Therio Conference is a great opportunity to learn, network, and enjoy visiting with colleagues in an intimate setting.
