rms provides uses an easy to implement BPM workflow model for managing work requests to fulfillment. Users enter requests through customized forms and then rms workflow engine then manages the request through the workflow to completion sending emails notifying request owners and fulfillers. All set up and customization uses simple point-and-click tools eliminating programming and scripting. People with workflow knowledge can set up rms catalogs and forms in hours rather than weeks or months.

The advantage rms provides is a structure not reliant on open-loop systems such as email and voicemail. Unlike other systems, rms is not a big programming project and performs well on busy servers because it does not require huge resource pools.
