Humans have an internal biological clock that helps them anticipate and adapt to the regular rhythm of the day, namely circadian rhythm. Scientific research has shown the importance of circadian rhythm for human health, and led to a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2017.

Tempori is an innovative iPhone and Apple Watch app that guides daily activities based on circadian rhythm. It informs the user which basic activities are suitable at anytime during a day.

On iPhone, it lets the user set constrained schedules with intuitive gestures, and visualizes them with colorful arcs, together with a color-coded ring (clock) for daily variation of light conditions. The ring and arcs give users intuitive understanding of the daily cycles, since lighting is the primary signal for circadian rhythm. The user can also time travel to see the year-round variation of light conditions at her location, and see how the daily schedules match the natural environment.

The watch app tracks the suitability of those basic activities, while the watch complications provide convenient hints on the most important activity throughout the day. It takes determination and patience to build healthy habits and see good results. The watch complications gently remind and nudge users in the right direction everyday.
