Pros
It doesn't look as fancy as some other installers, but it does the work really well and has lots of options. You can even make an MSI and a native installer in one project, which I thikn none of the other installers can. I can really recommend this one.

I really like this installer. It does all i want to do and in comparison to other installers is very well priced. I particularly like all the pre-flight checks that catch erros.

I'm a software engineer working at a major sign manufacturing company that has been using Installshield Express for 3 years (and hating every minute of it). Installshield has a huge footprint, is very expense and their technical support is terrible, even when purchasing their expense maintenance programs. <p> <p>I downloaded what is now referred to as Tarma QuickInstall late December 2005 being very skeptical that such an inexpensive product could compete with Installshield. I was 100% wrong! Tarma installer projects are extremely easy to create, the built-in help is very complete and the product simply works. As good as the program itself is, technical support is even more outstanding! I've had two problems so far and Tarma technical support has returned all my emails within 24 hours and answered all of my questions. In fact, the latest problem that I encountered last week was diagnosed and recreated with 2 days and a feature ADDITION was added to the program within the next 2 days. This is absolutely unbelievable customer service and is the very thing that motivated me to write this unsolicited review.

Somehow everytime I run the program a Java trojan is found. It happens on every computer I have. <p>The installer layout cannot be edited. <p>$250 is too much for this program.

I agree with the previous review. Free products or cheaper installer only go so far. This one really gives you all the options and flexibility you need and is still affordable. I would highly recommend it.

Pros
Tools like nsis does the job very great, but this is just a step above when coming to advanced features! 100% editable dialogs and you can create your own with own actions too if you like.. (And it can create both non msi and msi installations!)
Cons
Only thing i miss is to be able to set a "dont compress" flag for seperate files, but this is a very minor thing.

In my opinion there are better solutions avaliable and some of them are completely free. NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Installation System) with the HM NIS editor can do everything this system can and more for free.

Crazy easy to use. I had a basic install in maybe two minutes without reading the directions, and I don't really know that much about installers.
Cons
Limited help. Somewhat limited feature set, although I get the impression is does more than I've figured out so far. I would like to be able to have more than one screen that the user has to "accept", and be able to specify high color icons for the final install exe.
