have to select the file you want to play by it's browser but some video codec can't play are downloaded dvd rip files form the Internet

Just media player classic but you can have both this and media player classic or your comp with different settings. No problems. So worth a download. Pump in some codecsand it'll play just anything. Won't foul up your thumbnail images. No install.
Cons
Nothing, nothing at all. No hassles.
Summary
We all love media player classic. Now you can have two of them on your computer with different settings. Pump in a few codecs and stay away from some of the other trash players that show up on CNet.

The description says it will run under Win 98. It won't even begin to install on Win 98 - simply says 'application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.' :-(
