Talking Tom Cat 2 for iOS

Talking Tom Cat 2 features the same animated cat found in the original Talking Tom app, but with some new twists and features. Like the original app, this one is much more fun for kids than adults, even though there is an option to turn off Child Mode.

Pros

The dog: In this version, Tom is tormented by a jokester of a dog who does things like pop a paper bag behind him to make him jump, or whack him in the face with a pillow. The dog is definitely a fun addition and gives the game a little more depth.

More free stuff: Talking Tom Cat 2 also offers more activities for free. There are several animations you can use, and you can also go to the store to buy stuff for Tom. A few items are free, and you can earn coins to purchase others by watching ads or completing other free offers.

Cons

Animated ads: In addition to fullscreen and banner ads, the app also features animated ads that move across the screen and that you can't close early. They may seem to kids to be a part of the game, and because they're moving, a child is almost sure to hit one by accident at some point, which takes them out of the game and can be very frustrating.

Bottom Line

This app is a significant improvement over the original Talking Tom app, and it can definitely be a lot of fun for kids. The ads are a nuisance, but the game is cute and fun to fool around with.
