Research shows that when we train our mind to be present where our body is, that is when we are paying attention to what we are doing we are happier.When we train our mind we develop awareness.Often we can find ourselves wishing things were different to how they actually are. Or perhaps we feel worried, or anxious and were not sure exactly why. Or we have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep we cant seem to stop that constant flow of thoughts. Take 5 Mindful Minutes is a collection of fun, focused and short, mind training or mindfulness meditation strategies that could be helpful for users under 10 years of age to practise with a supporting adult. There is also an opportunity for users to describe and record their feelings, and match them with helpful meditation tracks for future reference.When were aware we notice how we feel, we notice what were thinking and we notice what were doing. Were likely then to notice when were distracted, have better impulse control, be less angry, and be more aware of our thought processes with better concentration and memory. Were likely too to be kinder, more patient and therefore more compassionate and caring of ourselves and others.So to perhaps be calmer, not feel so worried or be less reactive that is be more aware of things as they are happening and therefore make better choices on the spot - then this App could be useful.
