Tag everything on your Mac: docs, emails, images, all other files.
Tags allows you to manage your files in a way far superior to folders. Work faster, and be more efficient. Tags allows users to tag all their files on their Mac, such as files and folders in the finder, emails in Mail, photos in iPhoto, bookmarks in Safari, etc.., directly from within the application. It allows the user to associate files of different types to one another with ease and without creating duplicates. Users can apply many different tags to a single file, as well as apply the same tag to multiple files. This allows users to associate files to one another in a way far superior to a rigid file / folder structure. With Tags, users can quickly find files irrespective of file type or where they were saved. Tags can be invoked with a simple keystroke in most applications so that users can Tag files and search for Tags, wherever they are.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />With the advent of OS X Tiger features a new Spotlight, search on the Mac has never been a quick and convenient. Spotlight simplify searching for files by tag (or tags), without requiring the user knowledge of the exact names of files or their contents.
However, to assign a label to the document to quickly find not so simple. Keywords can include the name of the document or open the file properties and to prescribe tags in the field "Comments Spotlight".
Tags - one of the most visually attractive applications. Tags fully compatible with Spotlight, and uses the platform "OpenMeta" to integrate tags with other applications. Adding tags to files produced by hot key. This is the perfect solution for tagginga files.
Tags - The tool allows you to tag from the Finder files and folders, as well as letters, photos or bookmarks in Safari. The new version of the utility upgraded search engine and integrated search for labels. Update your browser adds tags, support for Mailplane, Firefox, and some applications, Adobe.
By combining tags, users can simplify access to files, in particular by pressing hotkeys for applications. Tag Browser allows you to edit existing tags and view the recent files.
Thanks to developers for a very useful product!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've tried all the OSX tagging aps--some that integrate with Spotlight and others that don't--and this is by far the simplest, yet most capable ap out there. Particularly love that I can tag individual emails and web pages from the same interface as everything else. No need for multiple tag applications. UI is a little boring for me (would love to see something totally in line with Snow Leopard or iTunes 9), but it does its job well and that's really what counts. On the UI, check out Default Folder did with their system extension, Mr. Dev. Otherwise, keep up the great work.
Quick and easy !

There are many imitations, some of them free like tagit.. but it is clear that the most work was put into Tags.
