Great Software
Arsath- Pros
- Works as described. Great tool to rename mp3 based on ID2 or ID3 tags, It took me matter of only seconds to rename 1000s of mp3 files. You can also use it change tags of multiple files
- Cons
- Interface needs to be improved.
- Summary
Easy-to-use, useful features
kheila- Pros
- You can see the contents of both kinds of tags at once, easily copy info from one tag to another, create tags from a user-defined pattern, and rename files based on tags. Files are marked based on what kind of tags they currently have, so you can easily go through and fill in missing info. The interface is easy to figure out right off the bat.
- Cons
- The only thing I wish it offered that it doesn't is the option to delete files from the current working directory.
- Summary
Crashed on my computer.
sfoundry- Pros
- If it has a excellent function I was unable to enjoy it.
- Cons

Instead do it yourself.
qolotlh- Pros
- Easy to download and install. Works okay with some ID3 tags.
- Cons
- I tried to update about 1500 ID3 tags, and this program did update about 150 of those but not the rest. It's easier and actually works to do it yourself, line by line.....

- Does NOT Work For Me. I'd like to F*** with the creators of this P2P!

- Summary
- I am a musician that enjoys giving away my mp3's on sites. All I wanted was a means to fill in my info for a single song. Well, this program dosent seem to let one edit a single mp3.. for some reason they make you use 2 or more. The program also seems to want to write tag info to ALL mp3s in a directory instead of a single one. Once you click on the same mp3 file for the second time, it erases all you filled in with no means of retrival. Dont waste your time. It might be faster to learn programing.
Does everything I need.

- Cons
- Summary
- I have a ludicrously large MP3 collection and for one particular compilation I needed to rename filenames from the ID tags - a daunting prospect if done manually. Enter Taggin'! Simply loaded the folder up, it scanned the ID tags, and then I could design a custom renaming format for it to use. And it worked fine!
Not Good
pwryn- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- Not worth the download. The problems I found were: - Clumsy user interface - among other problems, does not use common dialogs or shell interface dialogs for selecting files used by most Windows software. - When setting tags from file name in a batch, it can read the file name and convert pieces to tags, but tag fields cannot be added in a the batch such as Year or comment. - Does not recurse or build folders (although I do not usually need this option myself) - Very, very slow file processing.
No Subdirectory Importing
- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- I keep all my MP3's under their respected Aritst - Album folder, under a big MP3 folder (standard heirarchy). Well, when I wanted to import my entire MP3 folder into it, it wouldn't import due to the fact that the Import Directory command does not include SubDirectories. I did not test it out because of that, but right off the back I notice there is no Maximizing. Nice try, but the prog needs work to compete with others.
Basic Design Flaw
Angolmois- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- The programs doesn't fit on screen in the 800x600 resolution. Whenever I find a basic design flaw, I don't even bother to test the rest.
