This handy application let you create shortcuts for easy access to your applications, folders, and files. Tab BarLaunch adds an additional tabbed toolbar preloaded with your default browser and text editor. Adding an item to the toolbar is easy, just select the target object and drag and drop it directly to the toolbar. You can modify the toolbar's appearance and position it anywhere on your screen. It has an autohide feature that minimizes the application to your system tray when it's inactive. You won't need to install this freeware program, just run its executable file. There's no Help file offered, and while the program is fairly easy to use, it doesn't provide enough guidance for the novice user. More advanced users will appreciate all this program offers, especially since it's offered free of charge.

A good alternative to overcrowded desktop

Easily installed & configured, and intuitive. You can fill it with as much icon/link as you want and classify them within tabs that you create and name too (ex: music - applications - newspapers - etc... ). You can have this program hidden on either side of the screen, so you don't see it when you do not need it. It can disappear as soon as you hit an icon/link so only the launched application will fill the screen. I just love it.

Much better than Windows' default Start Button and Quick Launch when there are many programs to look for. <p>Grouped programs into tabs, easy and quick to launch.

Try it yourself with a right-click to learn the features...thought not too bad. Much better if help on some features is provided.

For years, I have been looking for a replacement for Tab Works to keep dozens of icons off my desktop and still be able to access them quickly. I am an amateur phographer and much prefer looking at one of my nature photos on the screen than the icons. Nobody sells any program like Tab Works anymore. I love Tab BarLaunch.

I just D/L and tested v1.35 and could not be happier ! Tab Barlaunch is stable , efficient and so easy to configure with thedrag-drop option. This is the feature-richest launcher on earth with so many options to play around with ( i.e. individual button colors, size , speed of hide/show, locations , icon sizes.. you name it , Kuniyoshi did them all !) After testing over 5 shareware launcher, I chose Tab Barlaunch . I wonder how long it will be free .. Hurry up to D/L this proggy before Kuniyoshi changes his mind and turns it into a shareware like BarLaunch . Thanks , Kuniyoshi for this beautiful baby !

It is ifficult to understand why there have been so few downloads. Version 1.21 is available from the developer's website. Now that the larger Barlaunch program is shareware this freeware will hopefully become more popular.

I was up to twenty programs on each of eight bars but that last icon programming kept freezing up my 'puter. Running Win Me. Otherwise nice program.

I needed a simple launcher, and this is it!!! Very stable, and it's FREE! The author is nice and responsive... If you need a similar, but more configurable launcher: try the author's other free launcher called BarLaunch.

Tab BarLaunch continues the great work done by Kuniyoshi. Now, you can put program categories on colored-coded tabs. On each tab, you can put at least 25 program icons. All the excellent features of BarLaunch were essentially maintained in "Tab BarLaunch". I haved used it extensively under Win98 SE since July 02, 2002 and found it rock-stable! It's interesting to note that Tab Barlaunch left no entries in the Registry ( at least "RegCrawler" and "Resplendent Registrar" could not find any in my system ). I wondered if "Shovel" was commenting on the same program. I also tried uninstalling "Tab Barlaunch" a few times with absolutely no problem : just delete the installed directory! Thanks again, Kuniyoshi, for a great encore !
