• No support unless you update

  Pros

  Worked so long as you don't update it. 2yrs of free updates

  Cons

  Once your 2 years are up, be sure not to update the software. I did so and went looking to downgrade back to the version I could use (you get 2yrs of updates when you purchase) but it is not available and their support email responded with: "We don't publish old versions of our software."

  Summary

  It was useful while it lasted.

  Pros

  • Fast • Very Reliable • good configuration options • Can be set to auto-run • New fast sync feature really helps on subsequent runs of the same backup or sync

  Cons

  • At $100.00, it's expensive. Especially with the price of most competitors considerably less, and with the growing amount of cloud backup and storage gradually lessening the need for software like this • Only allows auto sync to be run from two computers • Interface really could use a new coat of paint. It basically hasn't changed since it's inception.

  Summary

  I use this for cloning my laptop drive as a bootable backup drive Synchronizing a master folder between two computers. Backing up a media drive, but limiting some folders, I like the product.

  Pros

  Hugh Songtag is the sole employee and developer of Qdea which makes syncronize! Pro. He does not care if the product works and is more than happy to take your money. Just call the support number and speak with him yourself. This guy needs a personalty transplant.

  Cons

  Software is broken and does not work as advertised. Tech support is not responsive, surly and obtuse. It's hard to believe that this company is still in business.

  Summary

  I would rate this software, the company and the owner below 0 if it was possible. Warning do not purchase anything from Qdea!!!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 30, 2013<p/>It is quite funny to hear such an angry man insult you unprovoked. This is good fun for a laugh if you are really bored. Think of the adventures of Peter and Raymond "Shut up Little Man!"

• Very strong features, versatile and highly reliable

  Pros

  Has more features than I have ever seen in one product. Transparent process, especially useful for synchronizing, where one wants to see and manage what happens - in real time. Has 3 main functions: Backup, synch and make bootable start-up disk.

  Cons

  Might seem a little expensive and one needs to renew the license every two years, but I have not found a single other product that can do what this product does.I have tested more than 10+ other apps - and allways went back to use Synchronize! Pro.

  Summary

  Great product, that might deserve an updated user-interface, but don't underestimate the product. It's highly reliable, makes the processes transparent and deserves to be listed among the very best of its' kind. And I'm not on the payroll of that company. Over the years I have contacted the company a couple of times and has received useful assistance or answers. The many settings might look confusing to newcomers, but the standard-settings will work in most instances. Try it out against other products and you will see what I mean.

  Unlike togram2 wrote above, I downloaded this software and find absolutely no difference in my sound - it's still crappy! I cannot say one way or another if this is a good or bad product, since I am sure my problem is not in the driver after all. I am still looking for answers! John B(mjbyyz) - 101209-21:37EST

  Does what it says: synchronize files. Can create bootable backups (great). Has enough pro options and settings to create very complex backup schedules, including hands-off scheduled ones.

  Cons

  The interface is not changed in all the years that I've been using it and especially the settings are very tough to go through.

  If you need a backup application with the kind of flexibility and features Sync Pro X provides, there's nothing else that comes close. This is NOT an application for the casual user who just wants to back up a bunch of data. There are all kinds of apps that can do that. But if you need serious backup capability (for example, the ability to copy "No access" folders and files with root privileges), you need Sync Pro X. Sure, you can do all that stuff in Terminal.app...IF you know what you're doing, and IF you don't mind screwing around with command line input. But if you want to automate your backups, including opening various files, running scripts, mounting or unmounting connected volumes, invoking other applications, or even shutting down your computer as part of the backup sequence, Sync Pro X is the app to get.

  If you just want to back up folders or other data, you don't need Synchronize! Pro X. But if you need powerful folder synchronization features, no-fault bootable backups of entire system volumes or disks, incremental backups (backup only the files that have changed), and fully automated backups with the ability to mount remote volumes, execute scripts, call other applications, open and close specific files, or even shutdown or reboot a computer as part of a backup sequence, Sync Pro X is the backup application you're looking for. I've been a user since v1.2.2, and I've tried many other backup apps (including CCC). Some of them do some things well, but none of them do all the things Sync Pro X does. If you need serious, professional, fully-featured backup capability, Sync Pro X isn't just the best, it's the ONLY backup app that provides it all.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I only need to use this software a couple times a year. The software is very powerful but unfortunately, their registration process is painful, slow and there is no way to move it easily to another computer. It also does NOT work with mobile accounts if you are using OS X server. I am frustrated this time enough that I logged into VT only to give a negative review. ie. If you sell your computer, or wipe the drive, or trade-up, it will take you a day or two before you can use the software again. FOr this reason I do NOT recommend the software and do not sell it to customers. - Frustrated.

  YOU GET A 2yrs license for 100$ It is a rip off. BUT THAT IS NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM.. If you don't update your SW regularly you get stuck with a really old version and you CANNOT find online the latest version that you can upgrade to with your license
