Free Web Browser with speech capability. Use Microsoft Internet Explorer like interface to surf the web. Free web browser with power of speech. Based on MS Agent technolgy, this web browser reads web page for you as the page is loaded into the browser. As the web page is loaded, it builds the voice commands of the web links on the loaded web page dynamically for speech input so that you can navigate from one page to other using your own voice. No mouse, no keyboard required.

The idea is cool.
Cons
It said it was reading and never made a sound, I tested to make sure my sound wasn't muted and all my other programs had sound. The settings were of little help, the browser was cheesy....um...done with that.

You cannot use java and such with this brower. Seems to be full of bugs. I have found that Opera is definetely a better go if you want to have a voice based web browser. Thank you to the user that suggested it :)

Pros
It's handy having a voice-command browser. Its good for people with disablities.
Cons
Opera has a much better version of a voice command built in that is much more customizable, and lets you change anything. It is also a much much better browser than IE. If your thinking of trying this, try Opera 8 as well along with it and see how they compare.

My machine has been clean for nine months. Within minutes of installing Surfie, I have unknown processes running and a ton of Gator-style popups. Also, it doesn't do anything but read the title. Windows comes with built-in speech functions that are more useful. Don't install this!

If you are a noob and you want a little browser with kiddie images and nothing to do but browse, get this.. otherwise.. it is HORRIBLE! the graphics are bad, its slow, and it has absolutely NO FEATURES!

Since I downloaded Surfie, I no longer now use Internet Explorer. I like the speech output and input part and easy to learn interface. This makes web browsing experience very unique. I strongly recommend this product and is absolutely free. It is not spyware and is ad-free.
