We've reviewed a lot of media converters, and our biggest beef with most of them is that they're designed to do only a few types of conversions. Every now and then we come across a program that's a little more full-featured, but rarely do we see a program like SuperAVConverter. This comprehensive program converts both audio and video files to a wide variety of other formats, and may well be the only media converter you'll ever need.

The program's interface is slightly cluttered in places, but it's fairly easy to navigate. The three major features--a CD converter, audio converter, and video converter--are arranged in easy-to-access to tabs. The CD converter allows users to rip tracks from CDs and save them directly as MP3, WAV, WMA, or OGG files without an extra conversion step. The audio converter allows users to convert existing digital files between popular formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, and more. The video converter allows users not only to convert video files between a wide variety of formats, but also to strip audio tracks from video files. Our major complaint about SuperAVConverter is that it doesn't seem to have a Help file, which is a necessity for a program with this many features. Still, the program's basics are easy to figure out, and overall we were impressed with its capabilities.

SuperAVConverter is free to try, but the trial version only converts 60 seconds of files and disables some features. The program installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.

Good idea but trial version very restrictive

Eye-pleasing graphics and good idea for a universal all-in-one media converter

Trail limitation: can't convert files in batch; audio cut to 1 minute max. Video output wasn't cut but show "Unregistered Version" in upper left corner. Free alternative for audio conversion would be "JetAudio" in conjunction with "Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter." Room for improvement would be the preview function: it would nice to be able to preview within the program and only preview the part to be extracted instead of the whole file to be converted.

I have never been able to use this software alone to complete one project. It either does a partial function that I have to use other software to finish. Or it does nothing at all. The biggest problem with "MySuperSoft" company is their language barrier and ignorance toward customer service. PLEASE read the other reviews. You will NEVER get customer service. They take forever to respond, IF they respond, and know they are wrong, but -- I swear to God! - tell you to "go to hell"... this after telling them their conversion from trial to purchase is near impossible. License keys not working. And they expect you to keep you order number forever. My last series of emails telling them it is impossible to upgrade, I was harassed, FOR OVER A MONTH, and ultimately they will BLOCK your email account! I kid you not, they will rip you off, DEACTIVATE your codes for function, and will never refund anything. A complete FRAUD of a company. Stay clear of this Asian mess.

I had trouble moving from the demo to the full version. I wrote an email on July 11th asking for help and specifying my problem. I got an email on November 3rd telling me their email to me "got blocked" and then they went on to say the same thing they told me the last time I asked for help. On top of that, the software (based on the demo version) is not very intuitive.

Super AVConverter 8.2 claimed it works with Windows Vista. It installed ok, but the converted file was trash. The images were barely recognizable.

I downloaded Plato's conversion software and I just couldn't get it to work correctly. So I gave SuperAV Converter a try and it worked perfectly. I converted all of my WMV files to MP4 files that plays on my iPod. - Quick conversion from WMV to iPod compatible MP4 - Rips audio from videos (WMV to MP3)
