• Good solution for password pretection of videos

  Pros

  Fast, free and easy to operate (once you learn how to use it see Cons). I needed a solution to distribute training videos for my job. Windows media DRM wont work for us because our computers are not online.

  Cons

  Slight learning curve but once I tried it a few times and read the instructions again I understood better. Be aware there are 2 file versions (we are using version 1 file type)

  Summary

  Very good solution for our training video needs. Slight learning curve but seems to be powerful once you learn it. Its free!

  Didn't get that far.

  Cons

  Clicking a link on the developer's site for more information brought up a msg box style popup warning me of some sort of imminent danger to my computer insisting i click "OK" to continue. DO NOT CLICK OK! See below for what to do.

  Summary

  Clicking OK in these situations will most likely trigger some script or download of either malicious software/spyware or lead to a site offering cheap "male enhancement" medications or something else indecent. An authentic warning from your installed system protection program - AVG, Avast, MS Security Essentials, etc. - should be obvious - it will have the program's logo on it and not typically be in the form of a browser popup. If this happens, don't panic. 1) DO NOT HIT OK! 2) open a command prompt (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt). 3) Type at prompt (without brackets and with just the process name of the browser you're using - some examples mentioned): taskkill /IM [browser - ex: iexplore,exe; chrome.exe; firefox.exe...] /F /T For more info type taskkill /? at the command prompt. 4) Let others know of the potential danger. This is not necessary, but a nice thing to do. It's quite possible that the site is unaware of the problem and that their security may have been compromised, so alerting them can be a good idea as well. Safe browsing everyone.
