  Pros

  You can work in a linear and non-linear manner and flip back and forth.

  Cons

  NO SUPPORT. Website no longer exists. You can't get to any of the help pages, which is a major problem because a lot of functionality is not very intuitive.

  Summary

  No support means you will not be able to figure out some of the non-intuitive functionality. The core part of the app for writing screen plays is excellent.

  Pros

  More than a word processor, Storyist lets the writer develop characters and details well ahead of the storyline, dialog, and scene changes so that the writer builds from a framework that supports the project. Exports direct to EPUB - iPad iBooks.app.

  Cons

  This software is developing and improving so fast that wrinkles are probably ironed out as we speak. Word processors could learn a lot from Storyist.
