Pros
You can modify width, height (which adjusts font) so regulate how much data fits in the ticker. You can set scroll speed including static if you just want to see 3 or 4 stocks. Fits perfectly in the dead space at the top of the screen (app bar).
Cons
You don't have the option to just display the symbol, it always puts in the full company name which is relatively long. It wasn't clear how to get non-US stocks until I worked out to put a ".L" on the end for UK stocks (as per Yahoo)

The ticker can be repositioned on the screen (top or bottom) and be sized to fit out of the way of most applications.
Cons
StockTicker relies on Yahoo! Finance data which means it occasionally loses connectivity. I've also noticed times when a stock will be down, but the color shift (to red) doesn't occur.
