Take control of the bridge in this Star Trek: TNG game.

While on duty in a remote area of space, a nearby sun suddenly erupts, releasing a deadly blast that damages your ship, kills your captain, and threatens nearby colonists. Now you must take control of your ship and lead your crew to solve the mystery. Your mission is clear--discover the cause of the devastating explosion and prevent it from happening again. During the race you will battle the Cardassians, form an alliance with the Klingons, investigate the unpredictable Romulans, and reveal a secret plot that threatens the Federation itself.

In this game from Activision, you'll be able to take the helm, interact with your crew, and have every station of the bridge at your disposal as you command your way through over 30 different missions.

This demo of Bridge Commander contains the first three single player missions and Quick Battle.

expected better from the Star Trek Franchise.....

Pros
you are able to play in both first and third person mode, and take full advantage of each mode's offerings.
Cons
gameplay leaves much to be desired.....the battles were boring, and the issuing of orders was downright intrusive to the experience.

The graphics and sound effects are stellar! The interaction with the ship and it's crew, and the captains on other ships is awesome. Being able to give orders, go to "Red Alert", and fire weapons is way too cool!
Cons
I sooo wish the demo had more than one level. Now I have to pony up the dough to have even more fun & get addicted!
Summary
Extra interactive, excellent graphics, great sound. I've finally found something that works great with my crappy "Vista" OS. A must buy of the full version!

I am very impressed with the good quality of graphics, the interaction with the bridge crew, and the ease of game control. This makes for hours of entertainment, and doesn't use all of your computer's resources.

Not available to purchase as new. Search ebay "Star Trek Bridge Commander" for good deals.
