• Spideroak is resource-fast, with fast uploads

  Somewhat confusing to deselect files from being uploaded (you have to delete them from various places). Does a full system scan at startup, so is slow then,

  Summary

  I've been using Spideroak for a long while and am extremely pleased with it. It is more expensive than other services. However, it's light-years better than any other service I tried. Among other things, Spideroak manages their own services so that, unlike Mozy and others I tried, the uploading is fast! So it's not impossible, for example, to sync my (fairly large and frequently updated) music selection. Also, my computer suffers no noticeable performance difference when I run it... again, in stark contrast to its competitors.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 1, 2011<p/>I should note that I am using the PC version, not the Mac version, but that I couldn't find a PC version to review on CNet. I use Windows 7, 64-bit.

  makes it easy to backup and access files.

  Cons

  Menus are not very Mac-like. The interface could use a little tweeking.

  Summary

  I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick place to backup important files. 2 GB for free.
