Editors’ Review
Spark streamlines your mobile email experience with a unified inbox, smart searching and notifications, quick replies, and customizable widgets and toolbars.
Pros
Unified inbox: Spark gathers your Google, Yahoo, iCloud, and Outlook email in one place.
Expedited emailing: Your new emails are easy to see up top, divided into three categories: New, Notifications, and Newsletters. Once you read an email, it moves out of your way to the Inbox section at the bottom of the screen. Respond quickly to messages by clicking the Like, Thanks, or Smile button. End your responses with one of several signatures saved under Settings. In your message, swipe the signature line from left to right to cycle to the appropriate signature.
Calendar widget: With this handy feature, you can scan every emailed invitation you receive and transform each into a calendar entry.
Save for later: If you can't deal with a message now, click the clock button to snooze for later today, tomorrow, next week, someday, or the date of your choice. You can also pin more important emails to the pin page for later viewing.
Save as PDF: You can save email as a PDF, as well as printing, saving, moving, archiving, deleting, and marking it as spam.
Smart Search: Search for previous emails using natural language, such as typing "emails with picture attachments from last week.". In our tests, this feature worked perfectly.
Smart Notifications: With this feature enabled, Spark will notify you about only your most important messages.
Highly customizable: Under Settings, you can personalize your main widget. For example, you can make it sit at the top or bottom of the page, and include or not include immediate access to your calendar, attachments, smart folders, pins, and snoozed articles. You can also choose which sections (Inbox, Snoozed, Archive, Attachments, or Smart Inbox) you want to see in your sidebar and in which order.
Connected services: Click Connect to Services under Settings, then Accounts, to add your Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, Readability, Pocket, Evernote, OneNote, and or Instapaper accounts.
Cons
Miscategorizations: In our tests, certain notification emails, such as social media requests, often showed up under Newsletters.
Bottom Line
Spark helps you handle your many emails quickly and efficiently.
