Crappy Software!

- I downloaded and installed the software and my computer went haywire! I had to run system restore to get it back to normal!

A good spam filtering app.

- Easy to set up. Works very well with Thunderbird 11. Thorough filtering of email, providing good flexibility for custom filters. Uses a clean local host to interface to TB. Comprehenseive setup wizard.

- You are always behind the ball with the filters, when tactics change you have to update the filters again. It gets so complicated that you end up filtering good mail unless you're very careful.

- In it's time I liked the tool, but spammers just got too clever for it's limited filters. Gmail, Hotmail, Commtouch and others created better technology to sort out problems before they got to your inbox. Technology evolved.

- Beautiful piece of work that, like Firefox, gets it's strength from plugins. Two in particular I'm impressed with is the preinstalled DCC network and DNSBL plugins. One optional plugin I recommend is the regex plugin. My guess is at least 600 regular expressions are working (very accurately, I might add) initially, and can be updated with your own if you are fluent in the language.

- Not for the technical-savvy - it requires configuring your client to point to the proxy port as well as customizing the proxy itself, but then again if you can't at least read a manual or a README then nobody should listen to you whine.<p>Small number of available plugins.<p>Strange behavior seen under heavy loads.

- I check my email online before downloading with Outlook. I saw that there was a spammed email so instead of deleting it I decided to see how SpamPal would handle it. <p> <p> Well, it didn't it just let it slide through. <p> <p>So I checked their forum to see if there was something there that would help. Help? Their forum is saturated with messages for Viagra and other garbage. <p> <p>Seems to me if you can't keep your own house clean, I am not going to trust you with the task of cleaning my house. <p> <p>It doesn't work for me.
