SOVL: Fantasy Warfare for Windows

SOVL: Fantasy Warfare is a game involving fantasy battles at home with miniatures or on your computer through Steam. You lead fantasy armies in fierce battles to see who survives as the winner.

SOVL offers two ways to play: you can use actual miniatures or play online. In the campaign mode called "Trail of Death," you begin with a small band of fighters. Over time, this band grows into a mighty army capable of taking on the toughest opponents, including the final boss. The game also includes a feature called SOVL Army Builder, which lets you customize your army.

To start playing SOVL, you need to build your army. First, choose a faction. Each faction has different kinds of leaders and soldiers. Then, choose a commander, like a brave Dwarf Foreman or a wild Orc Warchief. After that, add soldiers and their gear to your army.

The game takes place on a table. You use miniatures to show where your soldiers are, and you use dice to decide what happens during battles.

• Setup and Deployment: First, set up the playing field and place your armies. Then decide who will go first.
• Rounds and Phases: The game is played in rounds. Each round has three parts: Charge, Strategic, and Combat. Players take turns using their units to move, attack, or defend.

The main goal is to defeat all the enemy's units or make them flee. If the game reaches the end of turn 8 without a clear winner, it ends, and you count points to see who wins.

Many things in the game depend on rolling dice. For example, to hit an enemy, you need to roll a 4 or higher on a six-sided die.
