• Fantastic product, with very minor imperfections

  Pros

  - Delivers what is promised—making your single CPU to work as two independent PCs. - The two user systems are running very independently, except that they are sharing the same hard disk and the same cpu. - Not costly.

  Cons

  - User can't decide which is the primary terminal (it is selected by the program automatically). I couldn't be bothered but for the following reason. - The primary terminal (most of the time) cannot unmount a USB drive. You either just unplug the device without unmounting it (as advised by their tech support), or use the secondary terminal to do it. - Not available on Linux.

  Summary

  I bought SoftXpand 2011 (home edition for 2 users) one year ago after the trial period. This product does what it advertises as I created a "new" PC out of my existing one by connecting an extra set of keyboard, mouse, speakers and USB hub to it, so now me and my wife are using our own windows 7 systems even though we are sharing just one cpu. I used the money saved to buy more RAM and an SSD. If not for the minor imperfections mentioned above, I would have given it a full 5 stars. I hope future versions will sort this out and making it a perfect product. --Highly recommended.
