This ultrasimple application automatically opens and closes your CD-ROM drive with the click of your mouse, but there aren't any other features. SoftEject doesn't have a dedicated interface, nor does it need one. Instead, you double-click a convenient desktop icon to instantly open your CD-ROM drive. Closing the drive is done just as easily by pressing any key on the keyboard, or you can simply wait and the drive will automatically close in a few seconds. SoftEject keeps its promises, but if you look hard enough, you'll find a lot of free programs that perform the same job.

Too basic, as in just an icon, no support for multiple drives (like if you have 2 cdrom drives) and you get an error when you click OK.

it isn't worth downloading for 1.4 mb. there is another program that is much better/smaller. It's called HDeject. IT's only 9 kb.
