  Pros

  This is a cute game and a fun way to release some tension at the end of the day. You can vary your challenge because the levels go from Child to Evil.

  Cons

  The game gets laggy if something else is going on in the background which causes your shots to drift. The point of an arcade game is if your aim is god the shot is true, like if you were shooting at close range with no air currents between you and the target. The lag causes shots to drift as if you were shooting long range in a hurricane sometimes. It turns a stress relief game into an exercise in frustration when that happens.

  Summary

  Snood is meant to be a good old-fashioned arcade game. You use the mouse in place of the joystick but otherwise it's a lot like Space Invaders meets Tetris: you shoot a monster at a grouping of other monsters, and when you have three or more of a kind in a single shot they are 'freed' (this game avoids calling them 'kills'). The monsters are ugly-cute and the sound effects are jazzy.

  Pros

  Fun, easy time waster. Great faces on the characters.

  Cons

  I had an old version on another Mac several years ago. It was great, no issues. This version seems to be buggy (crashes if I stop mid-game and put the lid of my laptop down) and slower and clunkier than the old version. Finally, you cannot link to the site to register and pay for the game. I'm wondering if the developer has let this go due to his lack of interest in continuing to develop the game.
