First, the concept behind Smash Dude is basic: On screen is a wooden doll. That wooden doll can be hit with any of the weapons in your arsenal, including lightning, paintballs, punches, thumbtacks, tomatoes, darts, and more. Of course the developers are not strictly sadistic--there are also notes, feathers, kisses, and other less-violent things you can download and use on your smash dude. While the core functionality of the app is fairly basic, there are a surprising number of options here, from changing his facial expression to saving and sharing with friends. It's a perfect venting tool that, while occasionally over the top, works well.

Smash Dude is a free app, but is heavily supported by ads. From onscreen ads to pop-ups, to bubbles onscreen, and the coin mechanic, you'll be seeing, interacting with, and clicking on ads frequently if you use this app a lot. The core purpose of the app is served well, however, and if you need a way to vent your anger on your phone, you can't get much better than Smash Dude.
