IE weaknesses
Emmmmerz- Pros
- Cons
- Basically rebranded IE.
- Summary
What is so great about Smart Bro?
myrnalyn21- Pros
- Cons
- It is an IE Clone. I found nothing about this browser that set it apart from the rest. The only difference is that it has two homepages. All of the skins look the same, except in different colors.
- Summary
Smart Bro 2.7.0010 works great with "Vista".
Chainmail2006- Pros
- This is a unique "Internet Explorer" alternative. It grabs all your favorites, has double home pages, a built in history cleaner, popup blocker and provides easy access to some built in "Windows" functions. It has several color schemes and a unique, integrated sidebar where you will find your favorites and some features. It has tabbed and multi paged browsing. It's a fast, stable browser that looks great. It is a tiny download thats easy to install and use.
- Cons
- Takes a little time to get used to the sidebar feature.
- Summary
Pretty Good
bly47- Pros
- For me a very refreshing change from IE7 and Mozilla Firefox.

Smart Bro is faster than IE7. Definately a lot nicer to look at and the choice of skins makes it that much better.

For quick access to you favorites , online games, and etc. the fast moving side panel on the left side of page is a nice touch.

Two Home Pages are nice. One with easy access to Smart Bro's web site to it's support, forums, etc. and the other to set to your choice.

Can be set to erase traces of web surfing ( history, cookies, etc.)

Pop-up stopper works well.

Have had no problems running it through a router as others have stated.

No problems so far with it in regards to clashing with avast antivirus, comodo firewll, and counterspy antispyware.
- Cons
- The google search opens onto the web page you are on, then you can type in your seach. If need be, just have to save Google to you favorites, no problem.

Con or not; if you like to use Mcafee SiteAdvisor it's not compatable with Smart Bro.

It could use a little speed burst, but I still find it faster than IE7!
- Summary
I use it.
chuck92251- Pros
- Mainley because ut's different than most IE based web browsers. I'st fast and for myself reliable and doesnt appear to have ans security leaks like some other IE based browsers have. Features like two homepages, slide in animations and several skins have made this my choice as an alternative IE based browser.
- Cons
- None for myself but friends who have tried it with a lesser machine, or behind a router have told me about an ocasional script error. This however has not happened to me evan once.
- Summary
Not the fastest.
UM Canes- Pros
- But a nice alternative to "Internet explorer". Different looking with several skins to choose from. Page to page is very fast. Some of the tabs normally located on top of a browser are on the side and slide in which takes a little getting used to but I have come to like that. Access to areas of your computer from within the browser and a double home page option makes this browser worth a try. So far I have experienced no security issues with "Smart Bro" which helps in my rating of a web browser. I can't understand the poor review either.
- Cons
- Nothing so far but a little more speed would make it better. Guess you can't have everything in a single browser.
- Summary
very nice browser.
hammer922- Pros
- Very nice indeed. Unique in many aspects compared to other IE based browsers. This browser provides an option for 2 home pages
where all others have one. It has skins to choose from that will surley suit an individuals taste. The Favorites and other items typically fount at the top are located at the left side. Tabbed browsing and access to other areas of your computer are available through "Smart Bro". Like I said, "unique". Well worth a try by all who are looking for an alternitave to "Internet Explorer".
- Cons
- Could open a little faster. Other than that I have found no other cons in reference to this browser.
