• Frustrating, inaccurate, difficult, flawed program.

  Pros

  Doesn't crop your slides or change their color; can produce high quality images; can rip music CDs within the program for music tracks to add to slideshow.

  Cons

  Some menus are in German although support denies that; indicated lengths of music and slideshow are unreliable--cannot sync them; can't produce 1920x1080 HD even though that choice is offered; no support; trying to get my money back.

  Summary

  One has to wonder if this company is real--is anybody home? Everybody makes a slideshow program but nobody can get it right. Many (Roxio, Windows DVD Maker, etc.) offer one-click sync of slideshow length with music length but Slideshow XL support said sync is impossible. Have sent many e-mails to support and received a few useless one-sentence responses. I wish the program were usable because I think it has great promise but I don't think anyone there is interested in fixing its many flaws which make trying to use Slideshow XL terribly frustrating. I just burned six CDs in order to get one on which the music and slideshow end at the same time. I wish I could recommend an alternative to this program but even the number one choice mentioned by CNET was not acceptable to me. I like my pictures to be projected just the way I made them, not how the slideshow program wants to project them. Good luck finding something which works.
