Sleep Timer for HBO Go for Android

This sleep timer app allows you to set up a sleep timer for HBO Go app.

Just set the timer (in minutes) and start the HBO Go app and start watching.

How it works & how to use this app?

Start the Sleep Timer for HBO Go app.

Set the sleep timer and then start HBO Go app and start watching or go to sleep.

When the time comes our app will start and will interrupt the video player.

Depending on your phone's settings the screen should dim between 30-60 seconds after that automatically.

Why did I create it?

It was born out of necessity. I just wanted to have the John Olvier's show on background and go to bed laughing.

I've tried with a timer on computer but it wasn't convenient to walk to it just to tweak the volume or other stuff.

I have tried several apps to turn off the WiFi & internet on my phone but noticed the HBO Go app prompts the user if they want to continue watching on mobile internet while still keeping the screen on which drains the battery unnecesarily.

I was even thinking about creating an app that restarts the phone.

After talking to a very smart friend of mine (Julian) he mentioned that just starting a new app should stop the video player and it actually did.

I've contacted the local HBO Go support several times via email & Twitter to implement a sleep timer they didn't do it.

- Battery Efficient - As soon as the task is done the background service stops itself so it doesn't consume battery more than it has to.

Permissions

- At the moment the app doesn't require any permissions.

- We may need to add Internet & Wake lock permissions in future versions.
