Developer’s Description
Skylark enables users to format their music library to have correct filenames ensuring that music files can be read via small LCD screens in MP3 players, or other small devices. This task seems simple, however all people told about the application in pre-launch consumer surveys answered that they had either maintained their music library theirselves, or that they had not maintained and unreadable music libraries. This tool helps users keep track of the songs on their computer by repairing the song filenames from songs in an unlimited number of directories.
Some tasks this application performs include: Removing prefixes from song filenames so they start with a letter, replacing underscores in song filenames with spaces, helping users fix songs that have more than one dash (used for separating artist and song name) or no dash at all. Skylark also provides possible filenames by using ID3 tags from within MP3 files. This application does not need installed.
