Sittsy Pet Sitters Walkers for iOS

Sittsy – Pet Sitters & Walkers, from Sittsy LLC, is a global marketplace that connects pet owners with local sitters and walkers for in-home care. The app manages bookings, messaging, and secure payments while providing status updates and service protections for each reservation. It supports multiple service types including house sitting, walks, drop-in visits, boarding, and daycare. The app targets pet owners seeking verified care and individuals offering professional sitting services across many countries.

Sittsy prioritizes in-home, community-driven pet care rather than kennel stays

The platform is built around a community model that emphasizes personalized visits and stays in owners' homes, a stated alternative to traditional kennels. The service supports five main appointment types and operates across more than 100 countries, which underpins its positioning for travelers and local owners who prefer maintaining pet routines. The developer also highlights a business model that lets sitters keep their full rate.

Owners receive live activity and media updates specific to walking sessions

Sittsy provides live activity transparency through GPS-tracked dog walks and instant photo and video updates sent to the owner's phone, so owners can see routes and on-the-spot media from sessions. These capabilities target owners who want frequent status checks during active services, and they form the app's primary mechanism for monitoring remote care without requiring separate devices or third-party trackers.

The app is designed for iPhone users with an app-centric connection model

Availability is limited to iPhone, and the app requires iOS 17.2 or later, which defines the device pool it serves. Bookings, secure in-app payments, and messaging occur inside the application, so owners and sitters interact through the same mobile interface. Account setup includes identity verification steps for sitters, a process noted as rigorous by some users during onboarding.

Ideal use cases include verified in-home care and sitter income retention

The service aims at owners seeking verified, home-based care and at sitters who want to offer services without giving up a portion of their rate, a selling point for professional providers. The app's global reach supports travel-related bookings, though practical availability depends on local sitter supply. Users should expect the platform to function as a marketplace rather than a walk-in facility alternative.

Safety and support combine verification, insurance, and continuous assistance

Sittsy integrates identity verification for sitters and a Pet Care Protection program that includes liability insurance for bookings, complemented by 24/7 support and an in-app AI assistant for immediate help. The combination of verification, protection coverage, and around-the-clock support establishes the platform's risk-management approach for owners and providers who prefer documented safeguards for each booking.

A practical choice for owners and sitters who want verified, in-home arrangements

Sittsy is a practical option for pet owners and professional sitters who prioritize verified, in-home arrangements and marketplace control over bookings. Account setup can be stringent, which may delay first bookings for some providers. The app suits those who value documented protections and mobile-based booking workflows rather than kennel-based care, especially when traveling or coordinating recurring local services.
