For Overboard chess nuts the pro version kicks butt. Now with the HIARCS 9 engine bringing HIARCS back to the Mac, I'm in Chess Heaven!
Very nice Chessprogram

Awesome

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is by far the best chess program i have ever used on any platform. It is extremely full featured, and is in fact a "master strength" chess program, able to simulate the chess playing of a grandmaster. It also allows you to set its skill level very specifically, not just "begginer", "intermediate" and "advanced". You can do so much with it; it is the perfect tool for building up your skill in chess. A full featured program like this might cost much more than it actually does: $0.00!
Very good chess partner

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
As I picked up chess again as an adult (30-ish something) I searched for a good chessgame that I could "grow" with. I needed it to be simple enough to refresh my chess, and sometimes win even as a beginner... I also needed it to be good enough to store databases and be harder and harder in its skill. In short, it had to be a chessmate that grows and developes at the same pace as myself. This is the only program I´ve found that does exactly that. Although it´s sometimes hard to understand the interface. But I´m learning more and more and I haven´t been disappointed yet. Good program!
