SiegelBlick APK for Android

SiegelBlick is an Android application that empowers users to evaluate the sustainability of food products by scanning their barcodes. Leveraging the extensive Open Food Facts database, the app offers detailed insights into various sustainability certifications, including well-known seals such as Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade. Users simply need to point the camera at a product's barcode, and the app retrieves pertinent certification information, making it easy to make informed choices about food sustainability.

Privacy is a key feature of SiegelBlick, as the application does not require users to create accounts and does not track personal data. Users can contribute to the database by reporting missing seals directly within the app, including the option to upload up to three photos of the product packaging. Operating independently from certification organizations, SiegelBlick emphasizes data protection, ensuring that scanned images and user information remain securely on the device.
