Could be MUCH Better

Pros
Quickly and efficiently generates a web gallery. Seems to have a lot of ecommerce features, if that's something you're looking for.
Cons
Fixed sized gallery, albums not on the front list are impossible to find, extermely limited in image sizes, poorly designed gallery interface.
Summary
The gallery is limited to an 800x600 portion of the screen, no matter how large the browser is. To go between albums, you must find and click on exteremely tiny "more" buttons--most people who looked at the gallery I created didn't even realize there were more than five albums in the gallery. There is no way to replace these buttons with a scroll bar, and no apparent way to increase the number of albums shown on a single page, without just flipping to an "index" view, which loses all the slide show and "pretty" functionality. There are very few themes available, and most of them are variations on just a few themes. Bottom line: Not worth spending your money on. I'm on the hunt for a good web gallery creation software package, and this one wasn't it. Unfortunately, I've already spent $90 on something I consider unusable.

This software is buggy. It does not save your work in a file - you have to actually generate an album before anything is saved. MULTIPLE times I've spent 15 minutes arranging things, adding captions to only get a bug that causes Shozam to shut down & poof...all that work is gone. <p>It's way too expensive. I've spent the same amount of money on other video/DVD/movie/flash/slideshow software that does SO much more. <p>If you want to upgrade, you end up paying more than if you'd purchased the most expensive version.<p>The output is nice, tho.<p>Also, IME, the support team seems to be prima donnas. <p>Unless you buy the $200 version, you are at their mercy about the templates. The ones they currently have available are very nice. But if you think the text is a bit too small or would like to change the text color only, forget it.<p>But again, the output is really nice (except IMO, the text for the images is a bit small), so if you can live with the fact that you're going to overspend for buggy software with crappy customer support, then go for it.

Pros
This tool was so easy to use and the output is very professional looking. I had been using the Macromedia Photo Album extension from within Dreamweaver but Web Gallery Wizard output is far superior. I was easily able to incorporate the Web Gallery into my existing web site. I also like that you can easily add albums to keep things current.

The wizard was very easy to use and I didn’t have any trouble. It took me some time to figure out how to upload my gallery to my webhost, but after I did it once, it was fine.

It would be nice to just push a button and have the gallery upload automatically. Maybe in the next version…?

I was able to create a personal web site with 7 albums and about 150 pictures in very little time. I uploaded it to my comcast account and my personal site was up and running in 15 mins. The skins this program provides look quite professional. For under $20 this is a great buy!
